First Bites of Sweet Potato

I used my babycook for the first time this week to start making some baby food for Lizzy Grace. Thank you Hightower Trail buddies for such an awesome gift-I love it already! After eating oatmeal for a few days I decided the first veggie I would throw into the mix would be sweet potatoes. Check out this video to see her reaction.

We had our family photographed this weekend. The pictures turned out so great; Jessica always does such a fabulous job! Lizzy G. did pretty well considering she was ready for a nap about 20 minutes into the session. That baby is so darn cute.

First time eating oatmeal. Fun experience-she wasn't sure what to think:)

This summer has been so much fun! I have been off of work with Elizabeth Grace for almost 9 weeks now. Every day has been such a blessing. My little chickie makes me so happy. Who new a little baby could be SO smiley?! She makes all kinds of fun noises and we are just starting to work on eating solid food.

I love it/I hate it

I love it: Thinking I will do mine in the form of a list because I love a lot of things right now.

My family, our small group, Lizzy Grace's bedroom, our cleaned up yard, summertime, sparkling raspberry lemonade, Divine Design, quick reads, going to the pool, and having fresh flowers on the counter.

Not loving: the emotions of going back to work in a few weeks, flies all over our house, the battle against dog hair, and the refrigerator smelling like onions.

I knew it

Ok, so I was right. It was easy to start the blog, but now adding all the fun decorative parts of the blog is much harder. Great! Guess I will focus more on the postings for awhile than the actual blog. Do most people view blogs from Google Reader anyway?

New Blog

I have been blog reading all summer and aspiring to start my own. So here it goes. For some reason I thought it would be hard to set it up and learn all the posting tricks. Isn't it funny the things you put off because you think they will be difficult, and then once you do them they were really simple.

The point of this blog is twofold. I want to post some fun pictures and stories of my little chickie as she grows. It is happening way to fast! And I am currently a terrible writer, so I hope to journal a bit and work on some writing skills. You will have to bear with me on this part-it's for my personal growth.
